How to: Change data map formats (types).
Solution:
With the 'Data Map Control' dialog box displayed, select the desired format button and drag it on top of an existing format button to replace the existing format.
1) Display the 'Data Map Control' dialog box if it is not already displayed:
2) Click on the desired format button on the left side of the dialog box and hold down the mouse button.
NOTE: The pointer changes to a hand-shaped tool as soon as it points to a format button.
3) Drag the format button on top of the existing format button in the work area at the right. (The new format button replaces the original one and the map format changes accordingly.)
Changing a map format
NOTE: Some restrictions apply when converting one map format to another. For example, pie charts can be converted to column charts, but not to graduated symbol charts. This is because a pie chart uses multiple columns of data, while a graduated symbol chart uses only one column.
